Care instructions for your bupell bag made of vegetable-tanned leather
Thank you for your trust in bupell.
Your bupell bag is more than a product – it is a symbol of quality and awareness.
We will help you now to ensure that you enjoy it for as long as possible.
“Is there anything I need to consider?”
Not much – but a little care pays off.
Vegetable-tanned leather develops a beautiful patina over time – but this requires one thing above all: peace and quiet.
“What’s the best way to clean my bag?”
Simply use a dry, soft cloth to gently remove any dust or small dirt.
That’s all you need in everyday life.
For heavier stains: use a slightly damp cotton cloth or a special cleaner for naturally tanned leather. No alcohol. No aggressive agents.
“What if the bag gets wet?”
No stress.
Carefully pat off the water and let it air dry slowly – not on the heater, not in the sun .
Heat removes the leather's natural oils, and we want to avoid that.
“Does she need care?”
Yes – but only occasionally, please.
Every few months (depending on use), you can apply a little leather balm, shoe polish, or a mild care lotion. Make sure it's suitable for vegetable-tanned leather .
Apply sparingly with a soft cloth, allow to absorb, and polish if necessary. Done.
“What’s the best way to store the bag?”
Best stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.
If you don’t use it for a while:
- Do not store in plastic.
- Better in a cotton bag or openly in the cupboard.
- And: Some filling material (paper, cloth) helps to maintain the shape.
Any other tips?
Carry your bag. Use it. Let it live.
Small scratches or patina are not flaws – they tell your story.
